Just a few days ago, Mustafizur Rahman has completed his one year in international cricket (he made his debut in a T20I match against Pakistan in April 24, 2015). And since his debut, the Fizz has been drawing attention from all over the world. He has already established himself as a top-notch bowler across formats, and the skipper’s go-to option in the toughest situations of them all.In the one year that he has been around in T20 cricket, he is among the top three both in terms of averages (which he tops) and economy rates (where he is third), out of 48 bowlers who have bowled at least 75 overs during this period. He is one of only three bowlers to have an economy rate of less than six, and the other two who have achieved this are both spinners – Sunil Narine and R Ashwin. To achieve these numbers in his first year in T20 cricket is nothing short of extraordinary.
Since April 24, he has bowled 110.5 overs and scalped as many as 43 wickets at an average of 15.27, with his economy rate being 5.91. Average wise he has been at the numero uno position. Grame Cremer (15.48), Ravi Bopara (15.58), Kevon Cooper (16.13) and Al-Amin Hossain (16.34) are the next four bowlers, as far as the average is concerned.
